I think people forget sometimes what an impact it really has. People get stuck on the here and now - I know that a lot of friends and their parents who think only of the immediate.
It's impossible for some to think what might happen later, to all the people around them, and that they may be able to salvage their relationship...
made me think of the old Billy Graham quip...
ReplyDeletean interviewer asked him whether he had ever considered divorce... His answer... "no... murder sometimes, but never divorce."
Obviously not serious and certainly not morally superior, but it underscored the seriousness of the possibility of divorce.
