Out of curiosity, what should a closeted homosexual person who is involved in a heterosexual marriage do? If you finally realize you are not straight, but are married and moral enough not to cheat on your spouse, what is the correct course of action?
Well, traditionally (and that is the key term) it would be to stick it out. Now, again, there are the broad rules but they are not hard and fast (like divorce being a sin).
The ultimate standard according to the New Covenant is love. What is the most compassionate thing to do? What will be the best thing for all people involved?
It is possible to have a velvet divorce and have that be healing and positive in the right circumstance, but everything needs to be in context. None of these things can really be discussed in a vacuum...
